Adam's Halloween Photo Shoot... Take 2

Adam didn't get to go to the PuMpKiN PaTcH this year. His health roller coaster wouldn't allow for it but his Grammie bought lots of pumpkins for him!! We had the PLEASURE of keeping him all weekend... (Daddy was working and Mama went to visit friends in NC.) Saturday morning, mom and I tried to get a really cute picture of Adam with his pumpkins but it's really hard with a 5 month old!!

A case of the YUCKIES

So...

Since last Thursday, mom has been feeling like (for lack of better words) CRAP! She's practically been in bed since then. This is totally not like mama either. She's not one to stay home or in bed unless she is sick. We don't think it was the flu but she did have a fever, bad cough, chest congestion... the works!! Tomorrow she's going back to work feeling about 65% better.

I caught her 'crud' this weekend. Friday I started feeling it coming on but nothing major like mama. Saturday I felt like I was getting a cold (itchy eyes, running nose, cough) but still not feeling as bad as she was. Sunday I woke up and didn't have a voice! I'm sure that was pleasure to some... haha, but it really did stink!! Today I didn't go to work because I actually felt the worst!! Hopefully it's just been a bad cold and I hope it goes away asap!!

Poor Adam's still going through it too. His congestion is still there but the antibiotics they put him on have really messed him up. He's had terrible diapers that have been really hurting him. His little fanny is RED and I'm not exaggerating!! Caroline took him to the doctor today and they gave him some medicated cream... Poor thing!

The Kirks!

Yesterday, two of our good friends tied the knot!! Jonie and Michael wed on Lake Rabon followed by the reception in the club house. It was great to see some of my old friends that I haven't seen in years!! After the reception they had a huge party in the field! Boy that brought back some OLD memories. We had a GREAT time!! Lots of friends, food, and mud!! Good country fun!! Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Kirk!

1st Toofie!

This morning, Adam and I were snuggling up in mama and daddy's bed. Adam has been drooling ALOT so I decided to rub my finger along his gums. (My hands were clean!) Yep... his first "toofie" has broken through!! No signs of much pain though!! (thank goodness) but I guess since he's already been through everything else, this isn't a big deal!!

Also, earlier this week, Caroline took him to the doctor for his "congestion" and they did blood work and xrays. Turns out he has brochiolitis!! WHAT ELSE?!?! By the age of 1, Adam should be done with every kind of sickness there is!! Hopefully we'll have one healthy toddler!!

Man, time's flying!!

I can't believe Adam was born five months ago!! Time is going by too quickly!! Adam is getting cuter by the minute!! His smile and giggle will seriously melt your heart!! He loves to roll around on the floor and play patty cake. He is already a ladies man too! Loves to flirt with the pretty girls!! The ladies at "school" tell us he is one of the best babies there. (We don't disagree!!) I don't know what our family would do without our little peewee in our lives!! Mom and I took these pictures Saturday night after the family went out to dinner. We thought he was ready for bed so we were in the process of changing him into PJ's and he starts giggling so we grabbed the camera!! (Adam enjoys being naked, well with a diaper on...) ENJOY!

Update on Daddy

Today daddy was released from the cardiologist. He doesn't have to go back for 6 more months!! The doctor was really impressed with dad especially since he hasn't touched a cig!!

He also went back to Dr. Owens to check on his finger. Dr. Owens removed the stitches and dad seems to feel better. Hopefully his nail will grow back soon!!
