Baby Adam Update

Sunday, we took him to church for the second time. The air was messed up so Adam and I got to hang out in the nursery! I tried to snap some pictures of him in his precious gown that Ann Cox gave him. These aren't the best pictures but you get the idea!

Today, Adam went to the doctor to get his shots but turns out he couldn't. Poor baby has an ear infection!! I swear, to be (almost) 2 months old, Adam has been through HELL!! Starting off being late out of the belly, mama's heart problems, thrush, an x-ray on his arm, pink eye, congestion, and now his ear infection!! And through all of this, he is still a HAPPY baby!!

He is now 25 inches long and only 11 lbs 8 oz!! Looks like we may have a basketball player on our hands!!

Wait... I'm so out of the reality loop...

I try to hide the fact that I love crappy TV but what the hell...

I was just reading people.com and found out that Melissa Rycroft, The Bachelor winner/dumpee/DWTS runner up, is engaged! I'm so happy for her (like we are friends or something) because she deserves a good guy, unlike Jason was to her. THEN I found out that Kendra (former Girls Next Door/Hugh Hefner's ex-girlfriend) tied the knot and is expecting her first child... due on Christmas Day! Wow... where have I been? haha. I know. I'm a dork!

Today

After 11 weeks of being on maternity leave, Caroline had to go back to work today. Lil pee wee is with his Grammie.

I started teller 101 today at the Corporate Center. I have two more days left in Laurens before I head to Sparkle City. It's bitter sweet...

Updated Work Schedule

The time has come...

Next week I will be going to "Teller 101" for 3 days then it's off to Spartanburg!! I've grown to enjoy working at the Church Street branch and I don't want to leave!! I am going to miss those girls!! (especially MISTY!)

Pink Eye

Caroline went for her check up today and the doctor told her that she doesn't need to go back to work until the 29th. Originally she was supposed to go back tomorrow. It's a bitter sweet situation. She is really congested so they wanted her to get well before returning to work...

Adam woke up this morning and his eye was stuck together with eye goop. Caroline made an appointment with his pediatrician to get it checked out...

Turns out, they both have PINK EYE!! Poor things!! Hopefully no one else will get it!!

God is Great, Beer is Good, & People are Crazy!

Today I took Adam and Kaitlyn to church. Caroline needed some rest and Brian was working so I went and picked up the kiddies and brought them to church with me! Adam was so cute (as always). He didn't really even fuss for the hour in church. He let out a few minor cries and two LOUD burps! Kaitlyn was more excited about helping mama with coffee hour... After church, I decided to take Caroline, Kaitlyn and Adam over to the Bradberry's house for a quick dip in the pool... How cute is Adam in his little swimming trunks?!?!

Saturday, Caroline,mama, and I went to visit Bo in Spartanburg for his birthday. Barbara also met us there. We took him out to lunch at the Converse Deli. yummmm...

Friday night, a group of us went "karaoke-ing" at a Mexican restaurant. We seriously had the best time!! Only one of the guys really sings but it's a lot of fun going and watching people make a fool of themselves (and drinking a couple of margaritas!)

TAYLOR SWIFT

I'm so irritated... tickets for Taylor Swift for the September 4 show at the BiLo Center sold out in 10 MINUTES! I didn't even know they went on sale until about 6 o'clock that evening on my way to Charleston... I didn't buy tickets to see her in Charleston because Caroline was due right around the same time and I didn't want to chance that! If you have ANY connections or ANY extra tickets & want to sell me one, please contact me! I was so excited that she was coming upstate then they sold out without me even getting the chance to try to get them... HELP PLEASE =)... I'm like a little teenage girl about this and I REALLY want to see her!! THANKS!!

On Friday, Adam was 1 month old... I seriously can't believe it!! Time is FLYING by and I can't stand it!! I just wanted to share some pictures I took of him today... God I love him!!

Saturday night, Hannah, Brandon, and I went to hear Outshyne play at Rascals. Rascals is probably the most redneck bar I've ever been to but it's a lot of fun with the right group of people. Outshyne was doing a benefit for themselves trying to raise money to create and release their CD. They already have one CD out but it's only a single. They were able to release this one because they won battle of the bands! Outshyne is a local country/rock band made up of 5 Laurens boys. They play a lot of good cover songs as well as their originals. Check them out if you ever get a chance!! They are really talented!! They play at bars, private parties, and corporate events. (I think that's pretty damn cool!!)

Honda to 4 Runner

So April 20, 2009 I totaled my Honda. I got the Honda when I was a junior in high school... (hard to believe it's been that long!) I honestly thought I'd drive "her" until "she" died... WRONG! $7,300.00 worth of damage later, they declared "her" TOTALED. After it was all said and done, I am happy with the outcome... I would have never ended up with as good a deal if I would have tried to sell "her" myself. East Cooper Paint & Body can keep her!

After the initial shock of not having a vehicle of my own, I decided it was time to shop around. I asked a few friends to keep their eyes open for me and explained what I was looking for. I wasn't wanting a brand new car even though I heard repeatedly what a good time it was to buy!! I wanted a slightly used SUV... I was definitely tired of a 2 door car!! Ryan Wilson, a friend of mine from Laurens, owns a dealership with Walter Chandler. He was the one who found EXACTLY what I was looking for!! Thursday, Ryan was kind enough to drive and pick up the new car for me. I met Matthew Ashmore on Friday after work to give it a spin and sign the paper work!! It was love at first sight!! =) I am the proud owner of a 2005 charcoal grey Toyota SR5 4Runner. I feel like such a grown up!! (Now I get to look forward to car payments...) WELCOME to the real world, REBECCA!!

Amy & Pat's Wedding Weekend

I had the best weekend in Charleston!! Friday night, Todd and I made it to Southend Brewery around 9:30 and stayed until the end of the party. We then met up with St. Claire, Marianne, and Rachel across the bridge at Vickery's on Shem Creek. ( I should def. have gone home after the party... but we had a blast!!) Saturday I took Todd to Sullivan's with Watson. It was a really nice day, I just felt terrible! I thought Poe's would make me feel better... WRONG! I had to leave as soon as he ate!! It was so hot!! Needless to say, I started feeling better about 5 just in time for Will to pick us up for the wedding. Amy and Pat married at First Baptist Church downtown. The wedding was beautiful!! The reception followed at the Hibernian Society Hall. Also beautiful!! They had an awesome band, fabulous food, and good people!! After we tossed rose pedals at the married couple, a group of us made it out to Sullivan's Island to finish the night off at Off the Hook. Basically- my liver hates me!! It was so good to see all of my college friends all weekend!! I hope that we can continue to keep in touch even though we are all over the place!! I love y'all!! Can't wait for the next time!! Until then... stay out of trouble! =)
