Update on Daddy

Today daddy was released from the cardiologist. He doesn't have to go back for 6 more months!! The doctor was really impressed with dad especially since he hasn't touched a cig!!

He also went back to Dr. Owens to check on his finger. Dr. Owens removed the stitches and dad seems to feel better. Hopefully his nail will grow back soon!!

Continue to keep him in your prayers!!

Go Gamecocks!!

Adam was very proud of his gamecocks' win over ole miss this week!! Go Gamecocks!!

Time for PINK!!

Two of my very best friends welcomed their first child last week. They opted not to find out the sex of their baby during the 9 months. It was a very exciting pregnancy with lots of ups and downs! Annie swears she knew all along she was having a girl. Turns out, she was right!! Annie delieverd Izzie a week early and had a very easy child birth experience!! She said the trick was swimming every night!! (good advice for those having babies!)

Auntie Bec and her niece! =)
Izzie's "lamb skin rug"

Izzie was born with a fever so they had to keep her a few days after she was born. Annie and Jordan got to bring their new baby girl home Monday. She has been doing wonderful ever since. She eats, poops, and sleeps!! She is a tiny little girl and looks just like her mama. I got to see her Friday and Sunday and I swear she changed in the two days. It's crazy how fast they change. She makes Adam look and feel huge!! I can't wait to go back and visit the Tiltons again really soon. I miss them so much and am so excited for this new chapter of their lives!! I love y'all!!

Daddy's Finger

These are the pictures of daddy's finger after his biopsy. Notice he is missing the tip of his finger and his nail!! He is still in a lot of pain but not nearly as bad as he was a week ago! Turns out he has a bacterial infection and time should heal it. CRAZY I know!! Dr. Owens is supposed to take the stitches out Wednesday.

"She wears short skirts, I wear t-shirts"

My dad serious is the very best!! He was able to snag me two tickets to see TAYLOR SWIFT. Not sure if you're aware, but I'm obsessed with her. I think she is a great role model, talented artist, and a real person. She's only 19 years old and writes her own music, plays the guitar, sings, sells out a world tour and seems to keep a level head (unlike most new stars). Friday night, Kayla and I headed to the Bilo Center to see her show! We missed out on Gloriana but was able to catch Kelly Pickler. Kelly sang a few songs and by 9 o'clock, Taylor was out on stage singing "You belong to me".

Tickets $50 + Double Duece Bud Lights $7 + Swift shirts $25 + seeing Taylor Swift = PRICELESS

" She wears short skirts, I wear t-shirts, she's cheer captain and I'm on the bleachers..."

She popped up in the audience right beside us to sing "Tim McGraw"

"when you think happiness, I hope you think that little black dress, think of my head on your chest..."

The best medicine

Adam is 4 months old today! I can't believe how fast time is flying by!! He only gets cuter and sweeter by the day. The ladies at day care say he's an angel their as well. I just hope this continues for ever!
As for daddy, I believe Adam has been the best medicine for him. They just laugh and talk to each other when Adam's at the house. Yesterday I heard them talking about fishing and how daddy can't wait for him to start walking. It is so adorable to see my daddy as a granddaddy. Adam is very blessed with amazing grandparents!!

Not sure if you are aware but my dad's had some serious finger issues. This started a month before the heart attack. At first he thought he may have a splinter in his finger so he went to the doctor and they dug and dug and didn't find a thing. He is in so much pain from it though. Nothing seems to be helping so he went to get it x-rayed and it came up clear as well. Dr. Owens can't seem to figure it out so he is going to biopsy it next Monday. My dad is very nervous at what it could be. My dad never complains about anything and never shows pain but this finger is really getting him down and causing lots of pain and confusion. Please pray that everything is going to be ok.
